BREAKING: Khupe Joins Chamisa’s CCC……Eyes VP post

Former MDC Alliance Vice President Dr Khupe joins Chamisa’s CCC party in a historical press conference today along with her former MDC T colleagues and were welcomed by CCC Vice President Welshman Ncube alongside party national chair, Thabitha Khumalo.

Announcing the move in Bulawayo today, the former MDC Alliance VP said, “We’re building a strong foundation towards a resounding victory in 2023. So let us all of us rally behind president Nelson Chamisa as we prepare for 2023 elections, as it’s going to be a defining moment for every citizen in this country.”

“We’re converging as citizens, coming together so that we fight in one corner, and fight for one cause, and that one cause is to take state power, so that president Nelson Chamisa becomes the president of Zim, so that he delivers real change to the people of Zimbabwe,” she added.

She also said more of his MDC T colleagues were ready to join Chamisa. The Deputy Prime Minister said she saw it fit to join CCC after realizing that it was the only party which still has the most realistic chance to dislodge Mnangagwa from power.

Welcoming the CCC converts, Ncube said the main opposition party was happy to have the defectors joining them indicating that it was of paramount importance to have DR Khupe occupying a strategic VP post since she has a huge crowd following her automatically making her a key principal in the party.

“We are not talking about togetherness for the sake of togetherness. We are talking of togetherness because we have a lot of work to do, fighting the elephant in the room. It is something big which surpasses our differences which we have to set aside for the cause which is greater than us,” he said.

“Today whether you beleive it or not, Dr Khupe has brought into the party a huge following behind her from the Matabeleland region and these are the numbers we need to defeat Mnangangwa in 2023. As one of the key principles in the party, the party has already considered her to be one of is VPs”. He concluded.
